Happy new year

Progress....movement.

You can see that there has been some progress. Right now im concentrating on the wagon canvas. Im afraid its looking a bit forced. I think im trying to use the bump map to solve all my modeling problems, but I think im gonna have to go back and model some canvas patches.

There is a reason why im continuously giving you this angle, its because texture resolution isnt 100% up to par. But theres alot of improvement here, what are your thoughts? I think that the model isnt banged up enough.

wow what an update. i gotta say its lookin real sweet. the colours are really workin together. its a bit too saturated for me, but thats just my taste in stuff lately, ive been all over the desaturated tones.

the cloth looks pretty nice actually, i like that its just noise, its clean , looks high res, but i supose could look more worn out. mabye tattered or something.

the cobble stone looks killer, i like that u used a simplified texture thats not too busy. and it really blends well with the dirt in between the cracks. looks natural. i think the mentality of the stones is a good one to keep for the rest of ur work. clean simple textures that read well and let the geo be showed off. thats why i like the cloth too, it tells me enough info without throwing textures in my face. i think people sometimes over paint their work, afraid that the geo wont hold up on its own.

the main thing i dont like in the newest update is the walls of the wagon. im not sure what the texture on there is, but its too busy for me. i actually really like the last render with the GI, the walls just had a flat texture with the lighting adding some different tones. i think the walls need to be very basic, it really lets the other stuff breath. if u add a material on there i think the whole piece will be too noisey. all u need to do is add some slight dirt in the corners and where the walls meet the wood. I think thats what i like about the large cobblestones, theyre light and let the wagon stand on its own and be the focus.

all in all its lookin great.
